Have you read "Good Omens"? It was fun combining Pratchett's wit with Gaiman's penchant for dark imagery.Chris Manninohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05931725234971735017noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9192589828784769498.post-8578129159168342832015-03-17T05:28:44.766-04:002015-03-17T05:28:44.766-04:00I feel that the world is a sadder place since Terr...I feel that the world is a sadder place since Terry Pratchett left it. I have been re-reading all the discworld books, and was inspired to pick them up again - as it happened, the next one in the list was 'Wyrd Sisters' which I think is one of the best. Just the opening paragraphs reminded me of Pratchett's genius wit. Vast and dramatic descriptions of a storm, and three shadowy figures hunched over a cauldron, an eldritch voice booming, "when shall we three meet again?". And the answer: "Well, I can do next Tuesday".

Pratchett was unique, as were his books. I mourn his passing.Sara-Jayne Townsendhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08516262112778133710noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9192589828784769498.post-85428804269863275592015-03-16T21:59:05.893-04:002015-03-16T21:59:05.893-04:00Thanks for visiting Susan. I only saw one made for TV movie based on the first two Discworld books- it was ok, but not that great- honestly don't judge him by adaptations, read him directly. He said that Terry was easy to talk to and personable and my son told him how much he appreciated his books. I remember watching a movie and not being able to stand it, but my son and my husband loved it.

RIP, Terry Prachett.
